This product was average at best to me. I usually like thicker cleansers but this one felt really thick and hard to remove. I also really didn’t like the smell. My skin felt smooth and clean after using it, but there are too many other cleansers out there that I enjoy more. I would not purchase this again.
This face polish is another fantastic product from Laura Mercier. It is gentle but effective and smells fabulous. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a physical exfoliator to add to your routine.
I love Indie Lee products but don’t seem to get many sample opportunities so when I saw that their products are now being sold at Sephora, I was very excited. This is an alcohol free toner that hydrates and soothes using antioxidant coenzyme Q10 and hyaluronic acid. I’ve been guilty of not using a toner in the past. It just seems like something that is always getting cut out of my routine to save time and save on my beauty budget. As someone who isn’t a huge fan of toners, I will say this is a really good one. It’s very gentle on my skin and I love that it received the Clean at Sephora seal. I would definitely recommend this product.
This was one of my go to products long before I started this blog so I figured it would be good to bring it back out and review it. I’m a huge fan of moisturizers that are also a combination primer. I love saving a step and also having to purchase less individual products. Many combos however, are not effective and you really are compromising something by not buying individual products. First of all, this sample had a weird bug spray smell that I don’t remember this product having. I either received a bad sample or perhaps they changed the formula. Either way, I really don’t like that scent. After using it again for the first time in a long time, I didn’t like this product at all. It didn’t make my skin feel well prepped for makeup and didn’t improve the look of my makeup. either. I’m not sure what happened, but going forward I wouldn’t use this again.
I have to start this off by saying I have been obsessed with perfumes that smell like the beach my entire life. I could write a thesis on every single one out there, that is how obsessed I am. I’ve made it a personal challenge to test every one I come across so I am excited to finally be getting around to writing about Beach Walk by Maison Margiela. My obsession began with Beach by Bobbi Brown and every product I find becomes a comparison to that first amazing product. Sephora categorizes this as a fresh floral scent made with notes of Bergamot, Heliotrope and Coconut Milk. If we are talking about the scent only, I absolutely love it. It’s not obviously beachy, but it definitely has a summer/tropical feel to it that I really enjoy. If you were the type of person obsessed with these scents and attempting to cultivate the perfect collection of summer smells, this is a good one to add. The downside for me though, is the price. I really can’t justify $126 for 3.4 oz. It just doesn’t make sense to me. So while I love this, I will most likely not purchase it.
As you know, I think Too Faced created the best mascara on earth with Better Than Sex. It is the product that I compare all other products too. I was excited to try this one and see how it stacked up against my favorite. Right away I noticed a similar look to the brushes, they have a voluminous shape that I definitely credit for thickening my lashes. The problem was, this left black rings under my eyes and smudged quite a bit. I was overall disappointed with this product and not sure why it is named 24 hour mascara. I wouldn’t use this again.
I am shocked with how much I didn’t like this product. Let me first start off by saying I love the brand Rahua. Every product I’ve tried of theirs I absolutely fall in love with instantly. I never purchase them in the full size because the price point is so high, so I wait excitedly for a new sample to try. This oil is intense so I only used a very tiny amount, but that still proved to be too much. I applied this product and then blow dried my hair and my hair still looked wet. It was that greasy. I actually had to completely rewash my hair because there was no saving it. I’m not sure how this is even possible with the small amount I used, but it happened. I have really dry hair that normally absorbs everything but in this instance, it seemed like the product just sat on top of my hair. This product was just not a good fit. I wouldn’t use this again.
