You’ve heard me say it before, Thieves cleaner can do anything! Today I’m talking about one of my most used Thieves products, the fruit and veggie soak. It’s important to me to purchase organic fruits and veggies because what I’ve learned about pesticides over the years terrifies me. I don’t want extra chemicals added to my produce, period.
It occurred to me that even if you buy organic, there is still so much coming into contact with your produce before it reaches your home. I had been using what I thought was a green cleaner on my produce but after further investigation I learned I was duped (again) by “green washing”. Green washing is defined as the process of conveying a false impression or providing misleading information about how a company’s products are more environmentally sound. Basically, companies label products as: green, all natural and clean, when they still have some very questionable ingredients. It’s up to us as the consumer to do our homework and seek out the truly natural products out there. This is what brought me to Young Living and Thieves.
I feel good about using thieves because it’s effective, clean, doesn’t change the taste of my produce and is easy to use. You simply fill a bowl (or your sink) with water and one capful of thieves and soak your produce for 1-2 minutes. Then rinse, and you’re done! It gives me peace of mind to know the produce I’m eating is fresh and clean.
